A NEW YEAR
A NEW PROJECT

Beginning in January 2023, a new page will be added to the TJ Mabrey website.

The project will be called READING THE PAPER, and unlike the current READING ART, which concentrates on stone sculpture, this addition to the website will feature Mabrey’s work with paper.

will arrive in your mailbox each month, and like reading a newspaper, these monthly photos are meant to be glanced at briefly, or studied in depth. But they are always meant to perplex, humor, enlighten, or bring visual delight.

And...
For those of you who are partial to TJ's stone work, a READING ART will be added to the email missives as new work is produced.

Historically, New Mexico has had a strong regional relationship with the art of printmaking. More recently there has been a focus on the Artist / Printer relationship and the collaborative process inherent to this medium. Printers and artists come together in order to reach a shared vision where they create the best possible image for the artist with the most suitable printmaking techniques.
